Elementary Fam is a small, independent local resource for parents in Tracy, Mountain House, Lathrop & Manteca. By using it, you agree to a few common-sense things.

Who it’s for

Elementary Fam is for parents and guardians who are 18 or older. It’s a resource for grown-ups — we don’t create accounts for children or collect anything about them.

Sharing tips & photos (the important part)

Neighbors can suggest local spots, and — once we build it — share photos of those spots. A few firm rules keep everyone safe:

• Photos of places are always welcome — the park, the pumpkin patch, the library. No permission needed as long as no one is identifiable.
• Photos that include people (including your own family) need permission. Only share a photo with people in it if everyone who can be recognized has agreed to it being shared here. For any child in the photo, you must be that child’s parent or legal guardian giving permission (or have that parent/guardian’s explicit permission). Never submit a photo that identifies someone else’s child without their parent’s permission. You choose how much to share — a first name and town is plenty; you never have to include a child’s name.
• It’s yours to share. Only submit photos you took or clearly have the right to share. Don’t submit anyone else’s copyrighted images.
• Keep it kind & true. No hateful, unsafe, misleading, or spammy content. Recommend places; don’t trash them.
• We curate everything. A real person reviews every submission before it appears. We can decline or remove anything, anytime, for any reason.

What you keep, what you allow

You keep ownership of anything you submit. By submitting, you give Elementary Fam permission (a non-exclusive, royalty-free license) to display, resize/crop, and share it as part of the resource, credited to your first name and town (e.g. “Maria, Mountain House”). You confirm you have the right to share it, and — for any photo that includes people — that everyone recognizable in it (and the parent/guardian of any child) has given permission for it to be shared here. It must not break these rules or anyone’s privacy. There’s no payment, and no obligation to contribute.

Want something you shared taken down? Just ask (reply to any email) and we’ll remove it.

What we provide

We curate local information carefully and link to official sources, but details change — always confirm dates, prices, and details on the official page. We’re not responsible for third-party places, events, or businesses we list, and listing something isn’t a guarantee or endorsement of safety.

Sponsors

Some content may be clearly labeled as sponsored. Sponsors help keep Elementary Fam free; they don’t decide what goes in the guide, and a sponsored label never means we vouch for anyone.
