Who we are

Elementary Fam is an independent local resource for families raising elementary-age kids in Tracy, Mountain House, Lathrop & Manteca. Questions: email hello@elementaryfam.com or reply to any of our emails.

This is a resource for grown-ups

Elementary Fam is made for parents and guardians (18+). Accounts are for adults only — you confirm you’re 18+ when you sign up. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The activities we link to are things a parent opens and does with their kid; we don’t create child accounts or track children.

What we collect

A little, and only from the grown-up:

• Your email — to sign you in without a password and send the digest you asked for.
• Your ZIP code — so we can keep Elementary Fam to our local towns and send you the right town’s local picks.
• Your kids’ ages, if you choose to add them — ages only, entered by you, to tune what we send. No names, no birthdays, nothing that identifies a child.
• Basic engagement at the parent level — like which articles you opened — so we can make the resource more useful.

That’s it. No passwords, and nothing that identifies a child.

When you contribute

If you suggest a local spot — or, once we build it, share a photo — we store it, and once a real person reviews and approves it, we display it publicly in the guide, credited to your first name and town. Two things to know: photos should be of places, not people — please don’t submit images that identify children (yours or anyone’s), and we remove any that do. You can ask us to take down anything you shared at any time. (See the Community Guidelines.)

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your information. We don’t share it with advertising networks. We use first-party, privacy-respecting analytics only.

How long we keep it

Unsubscribing stops the emails. If you want your data deleted, just ask (reply to any email) — we’ll remove it within 30 days, except anything we’re legally required to keep.

Your choices

Unsubscribe anytime (every email has a link). To review or delete your data, just reply and ask.
